In autumn, Red Leaf Valley in Jiaohe, Jilin, gradually unfolds in layers of color. The valley is home to many tree species known for their autumn foliage, with maples providing much of the red. As the weather cools, leaves in different shades mingle across the hills, giving rise to the local name “Five-Colored Mountain”. From a high vantage point, the autumn foliage stretches across the rolling terrain, creating a rich and colorful landscape in the mountains of northeastern China.
