CHINA EXPERIENCE
Nine Thai travel creators will visit Kunming, Lijiang and Shangri-La from Oct 16 to 21 on a six-day, five-night journey organized by the Yunnan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, exploring the province’s natural beauty, ethnic cultures and everyday life.
Under the themes “Yunnan: A Many-Splendored Life” and “The Closest Snow-Capped Mountains to You Are in Yunnan”, the creators will share their experiences on Facebook, TikTok and Instagram, introducing Yunnan to audiences in Thailand and across Southeast Asia.
The itinerary will feature Kunming Old Street, Old Town of Lijiang, Yulong Snow Mountain, Tiger Leaping Gorge, Pudacuo National Park, and Dukezong ancient town in Shangri-La. Travelers will also experience Naxi Dongba cultural heritage, Tibetan arts, ethnic music and dance, and Yunnan’s coffee culture.
With direct flights from Bangkok to Kunming taking approximately two hours and 50 minutes, Yunnan offers Thai visitors convenient access to diverse landscapes and cultural experiences. Shared traditions, including water-splashing festivals and cultural links between Dai and Thai communities, further strengthen the province’s appeal.
The participating creators are eager to discover Yunnan firsthand. Travel duo Orme Asavaraksh and Natthavipa Phuvichayakarn, who are behind the Thai account Girl's travel (Tiewmailerk), look forward to seeing the region’s famous snow-capped mountains and experiencing autumn foliage and snowy landscapes on the same trip.
Independent travel creator Watcharee Suphaluxana, known as Maria Far From Home, will explore Lijiang and Shangri-La for the first time, capturing the journey for her Thai audience.
The trip will give Thai travel creators a chance to experience Yunnan firsthand and share its landscapes, cultural heritage and local lifestyle with their audiences, inspiring more Southeast Asian travelers to discover the province.
